Hamilton offered his hand to Leclerc after the race as Leclerc waiting to do Rosberg interview. Leclerc shakes hands but the look he gives Hamilton you could read his mind " Wait till next year when you're in red , I will drive rings round you and make you look like a f**k**g novice ". .. and he will

Maybe

maybe not

it will be interesting seeing how it all goes

Bit like Rossi going to Ducati, I won't win anything but the pay-cheques are nice

That is what is worrying me
However, if he does start winning again it will be a great finish to his career
I think there are two possibilities - one is that the Ferrari suits him better than the Mercedes which clearly doesn't suit him, and the second is that it's possible that after the 2026 rule changes the car suits his driving style better.

Verstappen will do an activity with junior competitors in Rwanda after swearing in a news conference at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Yes. But Hamilton was and is a better overall driver than Vettel.
I hope he has one final push in him. But it’s amazing how quickly the skills go once you get over 35. And I don’t want to see him struggling to make it into final qualifying.
7th with 2 wins was respectable this season as he had the 4th fastest car.

Yes - I think the sudden drop in form that we have seen in some champions - Vettel for example - is sometimes a mental thing

And I have certainly suspected this has been the case for Lewis this season when we saw George doing better than him in some races

I am hoping that the Ferrari car will be up to scratch and the concept of racing for the oldest and most historic team in F1 will give him the drive (sorry!) to get the best out of it
but that does depend on the car being as good or better than the rest!

I shall be watching the wind up to the new season with interest!

Great drivers BOW OUT before their sell buy expires . i.e.. Jackie Stewart . Schumacher embarrassed himself for 3 years at Mercedes when he returned . Rosberg drove rings around him. There are a few exceptions though, i.e. Lauda came back and won again . Damon Hills last 5 or 6 races for Eddie Jordan were cringe factor , he didn't feel it anymore. Incidentally Eddie thinks Hamilton should go NOW. If you say you're not fast enough any more ( as Hamilton has stated ) its time to exit stage left. Unless he can reignite his mojo during the off season . He will know himself after his first 2 or 3 races for Ferrari whether he should be there or not. I would love him to win a title at Ferrari because he was conned out of an 8th title in 21 BUT Massa feels Hamilton won a title that should be his. Karma or bad luck . F1 has become f***ing ridiculous with all these painted lines you can or cannot drive over. ITs like tennis , was the ball on the line or not. The heyday of F1 is past , its still fascinating to me though, the cars are tractors now, way too big and heavy , green engines and batteries can't compete with the anguished scream of a V12 or the last of the V8s.

Paul who? (genuine question) I didn't follow lower-tier motorsport that long ago, sorry.

Paul is Derek Warwick's kid brother, Derek being 14 years older.

Paul started racing in Junior Ministox on the short ovals in 1981, winning the Northern, Southern and British titles in 1983. In 1984, he moved up to Superstox, taking the National title as a blue-top at the Ipswich Spedeweekend. Paul won the British Superstox at Wisbech in 1985, but got diddled out of that year's World title at Cowdenbeath by a bunch of Scottish officials with an axe to grind.

1986 saw a switch to Junior FF1600, where he won both the Townsend Thoresen and Dunlop / Autosport Star of Tomorrow titles with several rounds to spare. Paul won his heat at the Formula Ford festival, but got punted out of the quarter final while in the leading group. Neither FF2000 nor F3 were kind to him, as this is where money really begins to shout, and Paul largely funded his own racing. Also, his driving style suited cars with more power than grip, which isn't the case in FF2000 or F3, as you're running engines with restrictors on them, as well as wings. In F3, he drove for Eddie Jordan, Glenn Waters (Intersport) and John Macdonald (Superpower).

Paul really came into his own in F3000. He had some tests and four races in the International series (Brands, Birmingham, Le Mans & Nogaro) in 1990 for Leyton House, and then signed for Madgwick to run in the British series in 1991 alongside Marco Greco and Harald Huysmann.

In the five races he competed in, he took five poles, five fastest laps and five wins, the last of those posthumously. He'd accrued enough points to take the title at the end of the year. A suspension failure pitched him head on into the barriers at Knickerbrook - the car hit the knuckle at the end of the tyre wall, which was right in front of an earth bank. Let's just say that the crash was bloody horrendous and leave it at that.

Paul was kind, funny and shy. A brilliant driver, a talented welder and fabricator, and an equally talented footballer - he played for his local Sunday League side as well as at County level.

P.S. I started out as a Derek Warwick fan - Brands '82 and all that. And when you find out that your favourite racing driver has a younger brother who also races, it's kind of a no-brainer, isn't it? I've always liked a good bargain...

Charles has a natural talent and speed, but he still makes some stupid mistakes. Lewis brings an unquestionable level of experience to the team; he's won championships with two different teams across markedly different eras, in pre- and post-hybrid cars. He went to Mercedes when they were an also-ran and see what happened. I wouldn't write him off just yet.
