They were trying so hard to get it right it turned into a bit of a farce.

The first Red flag looked unnecessary. I think the 2nd was an attempt to not finish the race under safety car, because they were never going to clear the damage quickly enough otherwise.

Why they then decided after that massive failure to run the last lap under a safety car, I have no idea.

The first red flag was to make it easier to clear car and gravel, the second was to clear the bits of wheel rim and other debris without someone ending up with a puncture, the last one I don't understand, they should have finished there.

Why isn't Rallycross on TV, to me it's the ideal TV sport, they could cover the whole circuit with 10 cameras, it's exciting close racing, it used to be in the 80's (might have been 70's) remember Porsche powered Beetles racing.

The European rallycross is shown on either BT Sport or Eurosport and I'm sure there used to be a highlights package of the British championship on one of them as well.

I was lucky enough to get to see a few of the major meetings at Lydden Hill & Brands Hatch back when they were using the old Group B rally cars and anything else you could turn into a 4 wheel drive turbo charged rocket on wheels. This happened almost in front of where I was sat...

Accidents at Paddock don't tend to be small... Seen a few cars vault the chain link fence there.

Yep - I was also at the clubbie meeting a couple of years ago which resulted in the death of a marshal at the flag point just before the grandstand when a saloon rolled along the top of the armco  Sensibly that flag point was not replaced an is now home to a light board.

I remember that one.

If a car is going to go over the armco / fence, that's usually where it happens. Glad to see they've made changes, a light board can always be replaced.

Did they restart the race after the 2 Aplines ended up in the wall? I turned off at that point, figured they would abandon the last lap

They put everyone who was still running back in the positions they had at that restart (because they hadn't completed a lap before the red flag), then ran the lap under the safety car, with no overtaking before the line.

Just to correct slightly, the order was set as per the previous restart because they hadn’t completed a sector, thus had no official record of placings other than from the start line.

It's all gone a bit too Red Bull for me but it's entertaining enough
