IMHO Hamilton's whingeing is a tactical ploy given the transmissions are there for everyone to listen into. It's a bit like the "boy who cried wolf" - which ones are real, and which ones aren't?

People seem to conveniently forget that Mansell was a right old moaning minnie.

People also seem to conveniently forget that at Ferrari, it's wise to take the pay cheque, keep one's trap shut and not criticise the car. Alain Prost forgot that in 1990, and the three times world champion was out on his ear before the end of the season.

Like Hamilton's " my tyres are shot " followed by a fastest lap?

I couldn't stand Mansell back in the day , I've mellowed since,

Was it Lauda who was the first person to tell Enzo his car was not good enough and keep his drive?

Pretty well much.

Mansellmania kind of passed me by. It was *always* the Warwick brothers for me. (Much easier on the eye, too!) And you know your choice is vindicated when a former team boss tends to call Mansell "an 'orrible little man"

A bit before my time, that, but Niki was known for saying exactly what he thought. He was a bit more diplomatic in later years, but at times, he had all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. OTOH, he did up sticks eventually and p*ss off to Brabham.

To be fair, those things aren't necessarily exclusive. The car is getting lighter as the race goes on, so even with bad tyres a good car can get fastest lap - usually until someone pops into the pits for a fresh set.

Hamilton's dead tyres is a meme now through repetition

Feel for you. I’m 51 and an outdoor person. As the years go on; I’m realising living in the U.K. is what somewhat makes me ‘unhappy’ - weather-wise that is. It’s so limiting (If I’m actually going to fully enjoy the outdoors activities I do). But just being in it, working in it, being stuck indoors because of it: makes me ‘grumpy’ 🙁

The last few years my Winter-blues have probably got progressively worse. I hate living like a mole in the dark and gloom 🤦‍♂️ I have few indoor hobbies - and hard as you try - you can’t make yourself enjoy a hobby just because…….

The dream is to retire at 57. And that’s what I’m aiming for. The bigger dream is to move abroad at that point. Or at the very least: buy somewhere else and spend large portions of the Winter there. Yes I have ‘ambitions’ of where that might be - but in reality if we can manage to fund anywhere with a nice year round climate from then on - that will do.

Anyways up. Weather should be on the way up. Time to enjoy that hard earned British Summer 😎 Take care yourself 👍

As I've got older, I'm 71, my winter blues has eased and I've got better at managing it, whats made it more difficult to manage over the last couple of years is becoming my Good Ladies carer and becoming very restricted in how much time I can spend on being out and about.

BT sport have the live races and I think ITV 4 has the highlights on a Monday night. I found a website that was showing it.
