Russel was put out of the race by a power unit failure.
Sorry, my bad.

Interesting the FIA clarification of the finishing rules boosting Alonso to third. I don't suppose he's complaining!

Alonso did say before this weekend that he felt MB were deliberately overstating their performance deficit, and it looks as though he may have been right.

Interesting that Ramilton didn't get penaliased for that overtake on Max, even though in identical circumstances at Brazil last year Max got penalised for doing the same to Lewis. Heck, Max can really go for it sometimes like Senna used to but this time he was perfect and even left room and still got squeezed.

But perhaps most interesting is Gasly, who Nathan's today now has 12 points on his super licence so loo,s set to miss the next race.

Edit - stewards decided not to penalise Gasly for the collision with his team mwte, so he remains on 19 penalty points.

Or failing that, there's the Old Skool Superstox at Northampton weekend after...
The optimistically named "Northampton International Raceway" is only about 3 miles from Drago Towers.

My nearest short oval is Mildenhall.

Used to be speedway only till 1984, and then Spedeworth started taking some of their meetings there. The first time they ran the Superstox there on the 6th April '84, the cars all had the wrong gearing for what is a very short track and they were flying off on the bends. Mind you, the combo of shale and torrential rain might have had something to do with it as well...

Why isn't Rallycross on TV, to me it's the ideal TV sport, they could cover the whole circuit with 10 cameras, it's exciting close racing, it used to be in the 80's (might have been 70's) remember Porsche powered Beetles racing.
