if id known you where doing it I'd have made an effort to try and spot you and say hello

I was riding round with a group of youngsters from my club ranging in age from 7 to 11. They completed the 50 mile route with a moving time of 3 hours 50 minutes. Very impressive given the very windy conditions

Which club is that Andy? I know some of the Clydesdale Colts were doing it.

I was 3hrs 20 moving to put that in perspective of how tough it was today( I know I'm not great before anyone starts, but I normally average 16mph on a 60 mile route with similar climbing) was hard getting any pace in at any point. Very bumpy route with that much wind blowing

Thinking of entering the PfS 100 now as it turns out I'm free that day. Just the logistics putting me off. Hmmm.

Yeah, that would be a pretty early start for you, considering they require all the 100 milers to start before the throngs of the challenge ride. It's a fairly enjoyable route, though.

Me too but can we just come back the way we came?

I'd advise taking the A90 out of Edinburgh to avoid the cycle path traffic. After that you should be fine.
