You can still enjoy the pies without having to suffer Saltcoats. They have a branch in West Kilbride .Hmmm, I'm thinking what an attractive place Saltcoats would be for a lunch stop. 'Just have to work out a route there and back
Thanks Brandane, a wee coast ride in the better weather would be worth thinking about. I've been down towards Troon and Ayr, but never really been tempted northwards yet. One to think aboutYou can still enjoy the pies without having to suffer Saltcoats. They have a branch in West Kilbride .
If you're serious about cycling Glasgow to Saltcoats, there is a good route which I did in reverse last week. Out of the city to Newton Mearns, then B769 to Stewarton, B778 to Auchentiber and Kilwinning, from there there is a signed cycle route to Saltcoats.
Alternatively from Auchentiber take B707 to Dalry then B781 to West Kilbride. Largs is only 8 miles from WK, and a better destination than Saltcoats IMHO..

Good news everyone !First puncture of the year tonight, thankfully it was slow enough to allow me to get home and fix it
