Oh how I wish that my problem was that I was so organised that I had time to chat!
Anyone on here can tell you that my preferred method for doing anything is wait until the very last microsecond and then panic :B) (I once rode to a CC tour on the wrong bike, arriving after dark while everyone else was sitting down to dinner )

I'm following the 20/10 system (work for 20 minutes, rest for 10 minutes, then work on something else for 20 minutes etc) to stop me from having a fullblown meltdown
It seems to work for me because I get to see general progress rather than overwhelming myself with the volume of work still to be done.

I do something similar

The last comment on this thread was last Tuesday..........nearly a week has gone by without anyone blethering !!

So I thought I would blether.......,

Let me tell you about my upcoming tour. Montana, u.s.a. To Alaska. Through bear country...... Alberta , British Columbia, the Yukon and Alaska.

So the predicament is to buy or not to buy Bear spray.

This is not a replacement for aftershave or any other aerosol that one might douse under your ouckstirs.

It is a bit like a cs or pepper spray which deters a charging bear from continuing in your direction.

Now our across the pond cousins are armed and ready, but my line of thinking is........if said bear is close enough for me to spray him, then I am already dinner. It's a bit late. And if I don't encountere any such creature by the time I reach Alaska, then it would be a waste of money. I would be boarding my plane home looking for someone to spray just to get my monies worth.

What do you think are you with me? To buy or not to buy?

Search Mythbusters, bear repellent.
Think Cayenne Pepper won hands down.

Buy.
If it's got the power to repel bears, it would surely have the power to repel midgies so it would be worth taking home if you don't use it over there.
