It was built in the 60's so yeah parts of it where worse for wear

It had a door, just big enough for the two of to jump out of, this other guy was attached to me for some reason, he said he would make us land safely

I doubt that. The Scottish midge will laugh in the face of pepper spray. In fact it will probably laugh in the face of a bear, which will turn and run for its life when faced with a cloud of midges if it has any sense!

Thanks Brandane... the bike is fine apart from a bent/scuffed shifter! I'm getting better day by day, hopeful about making the Lakes trip on the 17th (if my mum lets me!)
