One wee drookit bit(a wee check of flyby)...the rest was nice

and windy
Correct! It won't go down as a classic ride in the enjoyment stakes, but I just had to get out before cycling slipped off into oblivion.
Bike covered in cack from the off road bridlepath sections; no point in overshoes if yer leggings don't overlap ; and Decathlon neoprene gloves are good! TBH though, wet weather cycling is just miserable and to be avoided if at all possible. I just don't get some of the members on here who claim to enjoy it; it's not a case of MTFU - it's just that cycling in nice weather compared to wet weather is like comparing night and day. 'Tis not for me :surrender:.

BTW; how does flyby show you the weather?

I was just checking in case the downpour co-incided with a visitor:whistle:

I've no problem with the wet..
It hissed as I was heading out from the house..
I just don't like the wind...

Still 3/4 shorts for me...

I did stop at Netherwood to chew the fat with old workmates who have done a fantastic job of blowing the track from Upper Port Glasgow to Kilmacolm, nary a leaf in sight on my return...

I would have been work 'nd dry/ home 'nd dry again today  but for the fact that, almost home, I saw my pals from CamGlen Bike town, huddled under a gazebo in danger to take off, trying to do a cycling survey/doctor bike.
Just had to stop for a chat, a few minutes later the heavens opened.
I caused two local cyclists to emergency stop by shouting "hey, cyclist, come here, free coffee, tea, cake, fruit, doctor bike, stop now!"
Mucho awareness of Bike Town was raised, good deed done, it stopped raining, I got home only slightly damp
Enjoy your hols @Edwardoka!

Send them down 75..
I could do with a good coffee when out..
(I aint paying Kilmacolm prices except at the park/gym cafe)..

FYI, the lads who I met today have been doing 'work' on the bad stretch in PG the past few weeks but I think it could like peeing against the wind......

Not at all confident braking/changing gear on the dropped bars

Just so we're not entirely hijacking Col's Christmas Day out thread , I'll post this over here....
Is it the "getting the hands round the shifters" you are having problems with, Pat?
If so, you might benefit from a set of these, which bring the lever reach closer to the bars.
