I was in the mountains when it happened and it was incredible, the sheer number of lightning flashes, how close they were. Magnificent.
The power kept cutting out in the hotel, the town itself was completely cut off and it was completely dark outside at about 10am. It was fantastically eerie.
Maybe they can give me, my luggage and hire bike a lift to the north part of the island since I don't want to be stranded in the Los Cris area for a week and a half?
