Tried it out today (it was being sold by Rig as well as advertised on gumtree, so I popped along after work). It rides beautifully*, so I only need to change the pedals and the brake pads but other than that it's perfect! :hyper:

Unfortunately I couldn't ride it away as I couldn't get quite enough cash out the hole in the wall...
*as beautifully as my brother's crocheting @Fubar @Edwardoka @DougieAB

Your brother could crotchet you some nice mudguards for it...

Luvely @Harry_Palmer79! You should change bank, mine gives out 350.00 ^_^
Ah - but that assumes you have £350 available ...

Now that you have a track bike you should go along to one of the GRCM rides at Bellahouston Cycle Track. I really enjoyed those. The sensation of wanting to throw up a lung after taking a 26mph turn at the front is certainly an interesting one.

Do you enjoy that kind of riding?
I went for a more sedate (slow) version with the girls, found it very boring.

Yeah, if you're not interested in riding hard or testing yourself it is incredibly tedious... or if people are doing strict rides at a certain time/distance/effort for pure training it isn't much fun.
I really love it when you get a line of riders, start off slow, after each lap the front rider moves to the back, until everyone has had a turn at the front and then the pack starts accelerating. If you can't get back onto the back of the pack after a stint at the front you can drop off and do your own thing, and the rest of the pack keeps getting faster and faster, shelling people out the back as they do so, until it ends up in a 1v1 or everyone else gets dropped.

This is not always an advantage! ;)
We are just applying for a mortgage for the first time and with only one of us working, they are offering us +£60k more than the top figure we had set. They even pointed out to us we could actually pay off what we consider to be out maximum in 11 years instead of the 20 years the mortgage would be for! The worrying thing is we were considering dropping out maximum by £20k!
