Something to do with the wind perhaps - yesterday I had the choice of going out and contending with wind gusting to 27mph, or investing in a can of McEwans and watching Liege -Baston - Liege. Cracking race!

Yeah the wind was pretty wild at times, we got out the car at Lochranza castle and the wind was mental there and very cold, took a few snaps and jumped back in the car, the photos make it look warmer than it actually was

Sounds almost exactly the same as my day yesterday, though I went down the continental route and had Staropramen instead!

Hopefully selling my hybrid tonight... so a bit more to add to the pot for the new road bike!

I went into Evans the other day and quite like the ones below... though they didn't have any in my size and I ran out of time to ask them to get one in to test - not technically n+1 if I sell one before buying it I suppose! Still it will be nice to have a road-bike for the weekends/bright nights that doesn't have a rack and mud-guards permanently fitted to it!

@McBrian as you're a east Fife man are you able to tell me if the road below is open, i've went to cycle it a few times but at the junction in Pitscottie they have signs up saying the road is shut but looking at the 2015 leader board on strava it seems folk are cycling the road, it a good climb and i need to do it to set a better time on it..

@tug benson I've not cycled that climb this year but did it a few times last year. The obvious direct route to it was closed then too but you can cycle round to it via B940 then turn right again later.

Defo not a day for being on the bike today, didnt help I left the house at 8:37 with 6 miles to do before 9

It is rather nice, I have to admit... I'll hopefully get to go for a quick spin on Saturday. I'm at my folk's the night before and going round a friend's house in the evening, so won't be able to do a Gran Fondo ride sadly!
