I manned up and got on the bike to cycle to turbo session last night - 2 minutes later I was sprawled on the ground so I walked back, got the car keys and manned down...

Silly roadie, 2.25 smart Sam's, they might be hard work and slow, but no slips for me on ice or snow, at 40psi it feels like your floating along and best of all at 15 mph+ my bike sounds like a tank! (Still twelve at heart)

Doesn't help that Cowdenbeath has its own weather system, basically no snow in Dunfermline but 2 inches thick in Cowdenbeath and the places are only 3 miles apart

Must be more/ all the hot air over Dunf, which cools as it gets towards Cow'bth.

I was on my tourer which is normally reliable, but had hopped onto the pavement to take a shortcut...

Came pretty close to buying a CX bike last night. Decided against it because of my desire to buy a boat this year.

Speaking of boats - the total solar eclipse in March has the path of totality just off the coast of the Faroes, who's up for an expedition?

I wasn't suggesting that I sail to the Faroes. Two months isn't a very long time, certainly not long enough to get the necessary qualifications for open ocean sailing

That's a shame, I had something like this in mind........

But then if you were in the market for that, I guess you might be able to afford the CX as well .
