Ah, it's Floridia, is it ? Whatever happened to Cyprus ?

Either way - it sounds nice and warm warmer than here, so don't forget the suntan greeese.

The joys of the internet; that's what happened to Cyprus! Managed to find an outrageously good deal on the unlikeliest of places (ba.com) for return flights Glasgow/Gatwick/Orlando and two weeks in a budget hotel (but looks OK-ish according to trip advisor).
By the time I drove to Manchester and paid for the parking, excess baggage charge for the bike (with BA it goes as part of the 25kg allowance); Cyprus was going to work out the same price, for ONE week! Plus, weather should be better in Orlando.

Ach well; true to my avatar. It's going to be better by the time I go, certainly better than here! I went the same time a number of years ago; it wasn't hot, but for us pasty faced, sun deprived, weather beaten residents of western Scotland - it was comfortable .

Finished off the day with a bottle of champers and a viewing of one of our Xmas presents, the Runrig 40th anniversary concert dvd from Muir of Ord, which we had attended, year before last. Great stuff

You don't say! Same here, was late shift Friday and Saturday, got battered by the elements but fairly enjoyed it, must be something wrong with me
Need to figure out something about the wet shoes situation, at the moment I'm commuting in a pair of chunky Sketcher boots, overshoes don't seem to work for me.
