What a lovely morning today, I made the 4 miler to my friend's into a 10 miler, no mean feat with 2 loaded panniers, 3 working gears and ice spikers.
Was I glad of the ice tyres tonight!
Saddle and panniers had a thick layer of frost on them :cold:
Feel like I don't wanna face food ever again .... where did I put that chocolate truffles now?

Hope everyone's enjoying the festivities.
I'd like to introduce a new member to the cycling community... my big (5yo now!) boy - this is his first proper go on a proper bike, after about 1 minute! Am feeling very proud of him.

:wahhey: Brilliant - here is to another new cyclist , that's 3 I know of now, who have got their 1st proper bikes this Christmas, all seem very pleased with themselves ... long may it last

P.S. A chip of the old block

:bravo:42 tomorrow?

I'll be free to go and do stuff again now... Christmas with the in-laws was lovely, but I couldn't just disappear on the bike for any length of time (apart from a couple of sneaky shopping trolley trips , still better than nothing ;)). Being in charge of the kitchen for all the festive stuff takes quite a lot of time and effort ...
Tomorrow looks like it could be quite icy again, be careful out there:hugs: ...

I saw a roadie this morning - he actually said hi  on a Triban kind of bike, very skinny tyres, no mudguards. He rode most of the way in the icy gutter, then he went through the park. Hope he stayed upright till the end of the journey!
