I saw a roadie this morning - he actually said hi  on a Triban kind of bike, very skinny tyres, no mudguards. He rode most of the way in the icy gutter, then he went through the park. Hope he stayed upright till the end of the journey!
All well and good - but was he real roadie ie wearing shorts ?

Not a roadie to be seen but I saw a few real cyclists today, no hi viz, no helmet, normal clothes, but even more impressive on this frosty day, NO GLOVES.
They looked Real hard to me as I struggled to stay on my feet:cold: on the icy pavements:cold: of the Highland capital.:cold:

Well I finally passed the 5000-mile mark today :wahhey:and clocked another 100k into the bargain :wahhey:- my 34th of the year. Never thought I'd hit the 5k target, been a struggle at times but well worthwhile having as a motivator, and I've been lucky with the weather (icy today though). And before anyone asks there are no turbo miles in there, it's all road!!

Well done. I wimped out today and just went to the gym and did intervals on the Wattbike for an hour. Just back from a walk over to Hamilton and back with 'her indoors'. Still hovering about 0C out there

xx( I'm 'breeding' a cold - blaming too many days spent mostly indoors. So I'm taking it easy today, a wee walk through the Meadows before sunset, cleaned one window then felt tired, so started making some mince pies instead, they should be ready in 15 min and will go nicely with a cup of tea ... :mrpig:
Feeling a lot better already than I did this morning, hopefully the mince pie cure will do the trick! ;)
Well done @Pat, @Fubar etc! I'm looking forward to getting a few more miles km on the bike before the Bells :bicycle: ... currently on 8658 km/5380 miles, way more than I ever thought I could do in a year, mainly through commuting & utility, too. And way more than I needed to beat @Col5632  - next year will be more challenging I suspect, unless mojos are lost again :hugs:

I'm barely over 4000km this year. Losing the whole of July, August and September with a broken arm didn't help matters though

:hugs: There is always next year , it's only numbers after all ... Do you have any big tour plans for 2015?

I've cycled less km in total this year than @Fubar OMIL has done on his 100km's  - and too much cold :cold:/ ice to do the required hunners of km needed ... even had I the mojo ...

[Shame  ... head hang :surrender: ... seeks conciliatory mince pie ... ... ]

Step away from the pie... nothing to see here... move right along...

Remember my first CC Ecosse outing? A 50-mile trip Round the Forth, which I reckoned on taking all day (and probably did!) - you were flying back then and could easily have dropped me, but you didn't. No reason that you can't get back to something near that again - just need to get your mojo back, get out the bed and into the shed! And, erm, out the shed on your singing bathchair...

2015 can be your year!
