Lovely ride, despite the blustery conditions and the drizzle on the westernmost bit of our loop. Mostly off-road or on minor roads, lovely soup/Cullen skink/sandwiches/chips (no that wasn't all mine) at the Ratho Bridge Inn, then back to Edinburgh via the Canal towpath. Eight intrepid Belles Belles met at the start, one sadly had to turn back with a broken front derailleur (sp?) before we got started  - too many hills to go in only one of the front rings.
Looking forward to our CC Ecosse gathering next weekend :wahhey:

Completed the 100k per month challenge today with a wet and very windy 100k solo ride - now done 32 100k rides this year and 17 months in a row - about 200 miles to go to get to 5000 miles for the year!

Good afternoon fellow Scots(and lurking sassenachs)..

Looking for a favour..
Has anyone got a GPX file for a ride based around the Fife Coastal Path or any partial files..
My eldest now stays (temporarily) in Torryburn and the Coastal path is at the bottom of the street..

I have seen one or two online from Kincardine to almost the Tay Road Bridge but in closer inspection, they are more of these 'sit in the hoose' ones..

Reachable by PM (or whatever it's called on this forum).
Appreciate any help...

Hi Bobby

Not sure if this is what you are looking for?

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/549887524

It was a round the Fife coast ride I did back in the summer, didn't include Torryburn but you are only a few miles to the Forth Bridge from there - let me know if you need any more info, fairly familiar with the roads round there

Nae worries, great route but the bit from Newport to Newburgh is hard going, it was so hot I almost flaked out. Probably trying too hard! Nice cafe in Newport that @Edwardoka will remember the name of and I can recommend the cafe in the Gulf garage at Newburgh.

If heading west of Dundee you may wish to combine with this route:

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/615026247

Which was a round the Tay, with a bit added to get to/from Dunfermline - Perth. Cheers, Mark

Thank you, I'll peruse tonight once home from that place of wwwwwwwwwwwwww:thumbsup:
Mrs Mhor is from the north side of the Tay.

Might take you a while if you stop at every chippy on the way mind!
After just finishing a book on a certain famous cyclist, I'm devastated EPO doesn't mean 'Extra Pickled Onion', I need to rethink my doping:ohmy:
