Go for it, @ScotiaLass!
You could always arrange a CC Ecosse ride on your patch when you have found a nice route for us , or alternatively, you could ask for a CC Ecosse escort around a route you'd like to try ... you were definitely fibbing about being 'really sloooooooooooooooow' when we last met, and I believe your new bike is even faster ;)...

Low gear and keep a steady pace, they get easier trust me
I am finding that! Some of the small inclines I regularly ride (I won't say hills because you'd just laugh at my idea of a hill!) are getting easier but considering how unfit I was when I started riding in October, it make take a while!

I'm only a year into cycling, and iv a belly that makes me look like labour is imminent. Iv accepted aint gonnna be fast, but have found a steady pace that took me up a few big proper hills last week without stopping. When I tried too hard to zoom up, it gave me a hr of 205 and the difficulty of trying to clip back into peddles on a slope. Slow and steady ,and it does get easier.

I can't do clip-in's - I have a balance problem and need to be able to put my feet down in an instant...particularly handy if I don't want to fall into the canal...

@ShooglyDougie doesn't wear clip ins and he's a blur as he flies up hills. They are more a nice to have than a need to have. Good to see you getting a sense of adventure, @Pat "5mph" must be being a Bad influence
Haha, she is an influence, I'm not gonna say 'bad'.....(yet!).
I am quite nervous of riding alone but my curiosity is getting the better of me and I want to go further!

The path I shared with you is a good one to do extended. I started off pottering around the cycle paths around clackmannanshire , then onto the clackmannan - dunfermline path . It was only really when I started riding with the group on here that I got adventurous, as you see people doing routes and think "I'd like to do that"
