Thought this would be the best place to ask....
I'd like to start travelling a little further afield. My route has to be mainly off road and I'd like to explore the Fife area (coastal route?).
I'm trying to 'up' my miles too, the most I've done is around 20, so probably no more than 30-40. I ride a MTB.
Any suggestions please? I'm hopeless at planning routes!

I'm not sure if there's an off-road link to the Helix area, but you can take the zero traffic minor roads from the Carron bridge at Grangemouth to the Kincardine Bridge. On the other side there's a cyclepath (almost all the way) alongside the coastal road to Culross.

There is a new bridge at the Kelpies which heads towards Fife, which made me wonder!
I'll see what else I can find out about the area!

I'm not hugely familar with being offroad sadly, afaik you can get pretty much all the way to burntisland atleast on paths

You can take the path from the kelpies towards skinflats, along and
Over either clacks or kinc bridge
And then the path will take you along as far as limekilms without having to go on a road really

have you going over clacks bridge, and back home via Kincardine. only small bump is from power station up, its not a long or steep one on the path. paths are all in good nick, and you could do culross/ thornhill and Limekilns on the road with little traffic.
