With HJ busy all day with a meeting, I was left to my own devices ... went out for a wee ride to East and Midlothian
Musselburgh - Longniddry - Macmerry - Pencaitland - Pathead - Ford - Edgehead - Dalkeith
There were wee lambs in the fields, daffodils on all the verges, and lots of flowers and greenery on the early bushes and trees  - spring is definitely here now :wahhey:. The Forth was almost flat calm  , something I hadn't seen in a while. I tried a few new (to me) roads, found a bakery in Pathead that does very nice scones. I was getting very hungry by that stage :hungry: and still had a few wee hills to climb. I got soaked during the middle bit of the ride, but was dried out again by the time I got home, after 58k in total.

@Louch - beware they Glesca bugs - they don't 'approve' of anything west of Shotts ...

Did a quick ride round the Dalmeny Estate and down'n'up Hawe's Brae late am/early pm as I understood I had to be back by 1230; 40k and a few wee inclines to keep me honest. ...
A little rain :rain: early on, then dry for the rest :wahhey: - and we've had no rain this arvo here in Trinity  ...

Fife has re-appeared, as has the Castle - time for whoever took them to own up ..

I need a bike ride today, I don't care about the weather.

The hills of Arran are calling to me. They say "Ed, you are fat and unfit, I bet you can't get over any of us! HA HA HA!"
Man, I hate those guys.
I'm off from next Friday for 10 day if you fancied a day over there

It takes you more than 5 minutes to put your bike on your car and all your cycling stuff in a backpack?

(ferry leaves at 9:45, just saying  )

I'm just up the road from Ardrossan, and in fact I'm looking over towards Arran as I type. Hope you've brought your wet weather gear . Bit blowy from the south too, so go clockwise . Enjoy the day, it's to dry up in the afternoon!
