I may be interested in Loch Ness, need to look at accommodation first though

Well it was rather strange to be on the bus today, and even stranger to have to look at the bus tracker times before heading back home, rather than just getting changed and heading out the door before the alarms are set for the night ...
On the radio (7am) they mentioned 71 mph gusts on Blackford Hill during the previous hour :surrender:, and the bus was rocking a fair bit on the way out of town. Met @DougieAB at the Commie Pool earlier - he commuted regardless  and survived to tell the tale, 'not too bad' he said .

Looking forward to getting back on the bike in the morning

I thought the wind was worse today than yesterday. Maybe because it was more of a westerly wind rather than south westerly as it was on Thursday. Anyway, hope the wind dies down for tomorrow's ride. :bicycle:

Touch and go if i make the Evans sportive this weekend...My TCR was in for its first service and i was wanting them to have a look at one or two things, one of the things was a weird noise coming from the front of the bike when i am out the saddle leanng on the handle bars..i asked them to take it for a road test to make sure the noise is away..get home go a wee spin up and down my street noise still there, so i phone Dales, explain the issue i am having and the bike is going back in tomorrow morning, they are getting told i need it perfect for my sportive on the Sunday....

My specialized bike is also in for a service, been in from tuesday morning, it needs one or two things done to it, firstly it needs a new bottom bracket, its also needed a new headset, and i asked them to change the rear derailleur, when i booked the service i asked them to put a rear derailleur away for me, which the happily did, the went to fit it and it was the wrong one...they forgot i had a triple front ring(nae laughing networker)..so we are struggling to get a rear derailleur delivered tomorrow, fingers crossed it does...on top of that my wheels have had their last ride with me, the front wheel rim is ready to go and the rear wheel has hairline cracks all around it, am shocked it hasn`t all cracked open yet...so am needing a new set of wheels..i`ve ordered a new set from them but they are hand built wheels and they are busy and not sure if they will have them fitted for Sunday

the wheels i have went for are these one, they seem about right for all the miles i do

the amount i`ve spent on repairs and services on my bike i could have bought it twice over
