Been really windy of late...Its ok climbing up sheriffmuir but coming back down is really tough, Also the ride i do to the outside of Stirling is brutal, flat open roads and the wind is in your face the whole way...My main 2 ways up sheriffmuir means i can go up the logie kirk or climb up through Dunblane..i`ve been up the Logie kirk a few times in the last week, well climbing the logie kirk has been pure hell, my times are not far of my PB`s but i actually feel like i am about to be sick when it gets really steep, my climbing fitness is nowhere where it should be right now, last year i was doing 2 or 3 CAT 3 climbs in one ride, well right now once up sheriffmuir and my legs feel like they are about to give up on me...The journey home from Bridge of Allan is great fun, wind on my bike and i am not turning the pedals that much..still doing 20 mph with ease

The weight is starting to come off me again, a few weeks ago i was 1 stone from where i was last summer, now am only 8lb away from where i was last year

I was out my first run the other day...My legs still haven`t recovered, my thighs and calfs are in so much pain

I've found from running once a week that it stopped hurting after about 3 weeks, and as long as I keep doing it once a week or once a fortnight it doesn't hurt any more. But if I stop for 3 weeks then the hurt comes back to pay a visit the next time out.
I seem to have got in the habit of a midweek lunchtime run so I'll try to keep it up.

No question, safety first out there, guys and gals .... he says sitting inside ... and planning to stay that way today (though I did take Mrs S to work [4-wheeled transport ] and did some shopping earlier).

Morning all, been too busy with work to get on here of late - or even out on my bike!

I'm not doing the Evans sportive this weekend as my daughter is getting hitched and I'll be in Milton Keynes - good luck to those who are.

Also, I can't do the Etape Loch Ness on the 4th of May as my niece's first communion is on the 3rd and it has been made clear to me that I should be there!

Anyone want to be me for a day?
