Whorty, I am afraid not. You can look forward to a zwiftian (Proustian) experience
What, you think i'll have a Proustian memory of riding with you in Zwift ... as I recall, the last time we were in the same ride together on both BKool and Zwift I left you in the dust  Probably my Bkool Pro advantage though, so hopefully won't bring back too many unconscious memories for you

I am unfortunately a short distance rider, and not built for the longer rides, so you should have the advantage on me over the whole day. I'm a bit heavy for the climbs too, but I'll let you and Tommy battle those out (although Berty will shame you both with his climbing prowess). I'll stay with Steve at the back :becool:

@bobinski the ferry back over is 5pm, the route from Lymington to Brockenhurst is about 22 miles, but we can cut it short or take a more direct route, depends on the light really and on how everyone is feeling.

Regarding hills, the first half of the ride is undulating but nothing big, then there are two climbs, and then back to undulating after a long down hill / flat bit (Military Road)

Berty needed an Aero boost to get past me up Box Hill the other day so we will see how well he does at the weekend, eh Berty?;)

He was a monster (albeit a lightweight one) on the DD so I wouldn't goad him too much .... once he gets going on the IoW we won't see him again for the rest of the day :bicycle: I may have to attach a tow rope to him to help me up any hills

You don't get them in real life rides ;-) Which reminds me, you guys all remember how to steer don't you?
Not been in the real world since May, so it might take me a few miles to find my legs/wheels  It's the unclipping I'm worried about :surrender:

Not goad him?!? I am pretty sure he will leave me in the dust. If I don't goad him know when will I get a chance on the IoW? ^_^

I just worry about the lungs and heart, tested them out on a hill this morning chasing one of the strong hill climbers, got to a 189HR. I'm not planning on doing that on the SOCIAL away day!

Route plan without Cowes, it goes through Newport which looks a bit grim, but I've tried to avoid the worst of the busy looking roads. The A road into Newport is a down hill so hopefully no silly overtakes by cars, we're on it for about 2 miles. Tom / Bob, it'll be fine for you guys used to riding in London, just remember in this part of the world cycle lanes are best avoided!
