Me - we have given you four appointments in the last 6 months and you did not attend any, even when you were phoned the day before and confirmed you would attend

Patient- it wasn't urgent then, I want an appointment today

Me - I have no sppointments available

Patient - How do II make an official complaint ?

Should have finished work at 3.30. Busy day, major breakdown, we stripped and rebuilt a gearbox and major serviced a machine while waiting for spares that arrived at 2.00 Finished rebuild at 3.50, tidying up, got called to another machine, spent a good while looking at that.
5.15, my manager walked through, caught sight of me...
'Whaaa, I thought you went ages ago'
'If im late, I might as well be properly late eh'
'Come in a bit later tomorrow if you want'
'I'll see...maybe'

As normal, we met afterwork, go shopping..I asked how was your day ?

My wife is a teaching assistant at a special needs school, some kids not so bad, some are 1to 1, one kid is a 2 to 1...2 staff to 1 child, quite unusual and its because he/she can be EXTREMELY challenging...
If a member of staff finds themselves struggling with a child thats become temporarily violent, they shout...help will be given ..immediately, from who ever is near.

Such a call came today...
'I ran hell for leather to the room to find ***** fighting for all he's worth with a male member of staff, hes a BIG fella himself but was struggling to keep *****at arms length, its a full on fight. ***** has lost it completely. One female member of staff is on the floor, her hair has been pulled badly....I ran towards them thinking...well, here goes MY hair, put my hands up in a non confrontational way and said firmly but quietly...STOP now *****, its done, you are safe, its ok'
She continued telling me
'I even over ran it and ended up right in his face...you should never encroach into their space'
'Its like a switch was turned off, he just stopped'....'Now go and stand there while we get sorted *****', he mildly complied.

Tone of voice, respect, who knows why a kid will flip completely then respond to another person instantly.

I'm full of awe and admiration...I said to her
'Y'know ?...I'm dumbstruck you cope with that so well, its incredible. '

Head cold, streaming eyes, headache and blocked nose/sinus. Without warning a loud sound like an ancient squeeking hinge emanated from my head. That was wierd.
My wife replied...
'Ugghhh, that was horrible'

Me: "One day, we're going to come in and find him spread out, taking up all three places!"

When I left they were waiting for the manager to discuss the fake ID

BT, we must have had 4 unsolicited calls from them this week. Honest to God, does It not occur to them how damaging it is to pish off potential customers.

And then you ask why ?..why the sudden spate of calls, have i unwittingly signed up to something without ticking a box...has some entity sold or passed on our details ?

I am sat in a trendy bar in Glasgow. Now I don't normally drink cocktails, but I am experimenting tonight.

Anyway, I have just had a couple that purport to be

'a taste from your childhood'

We were pestered by Bowater Zenith, at least three or four calls per week and at least one visit

We had a "history"

However to my delight they came round when we were having glazing fitted... still knocked on the door though

We then explained just how counter-productive their sales pitch was...... if they could not understand "DO NOT CALL ME" then there was no way I was going to trust them with anything as complex as the size of a window

They had been blacklisted for that reason
