Be warned. I did a few of these. They were fun to begin with. But then after a while it became an addiction. I spent all my time looking at Google Maps and trying to puzzle out @Aravis' clues. I lost my job, my house, my family and now I live in a corrugted iron shack (with an internet connection) doing nothing but searching Google Maps. (Apart from a few minutes after midnight, when I do the Wordle puzzle)

I enjoy the thread, and speaking purely for myself here, but I don't think the cryptic clues help.

If you're going to offer a clue, make it something practical; direction the photo is taken, country, county, whatever.

Hurray, got there at last😂. Even I was getting rather lost with some of those clues.
As you saw, I was on the north coast of Orkney heading from Birsay towards Kirkwall, and the large island on the horizon is Rousay.
