As I suggested above - the shadows are misleading. If I didn't know which way the road goes, I would be looking in the wrong direction.

That's the one, but my view was actually more towards Sowerby Bridge to the east. Halifax is further on and slightly round to the north. In the opposite direction are Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, and Todmorden.

It is quite a tough little climb up to a lovely network of hilly lanes with great views and little traffic.
