Yes, cycle surgery aren't cheap - I think they tend to aim themselves a bit at the mamil bunch. Their Covent Garden store in particular. Not a shop I really go in much anymore - certainly not normally to buy an 8 speed chain.
YEs they're my nearest decent size store, but rarely cheapest

I didn't know that.

My order arrived.

Tho cyclesurgery claimed on the invoice that the nice Gore headband had an original price of £14.99, despite its label saying £11.99.

Still, very nice for a fiver. Quality item.

Just thought id mention this...

I ordered a messenger bag for £5 from cycleSurgery during their lightning sale and sadly by the time they got around to packing my order, they had no more in stock so gave me a £10 voucher code lol. Im not even mad that i didnt get the messenger bag as it looked cheaply made anyway but now i can get £10 off on other stuff but theres not a lot of stuff on their website that i actually want.

They dont tend to have clothing in the sizes that I want and their select of lights which I am semi-interested in is nowhere near as big as the selection that other online retailers have.

I honestly dont know what to spend the £10 voucher on.
I've just received my messenger bag from Cycle Surgery, definitely not cheaply made and has and additional waist strap which will stop it wanging around when (if) it gets used on the bike. I also got a £10 voucher and so bought myself some Fenwicks Stealth Road Lube, you can never have enough lube:

I've just realised that this maybe a dry lube ... oh well didn't cost anything and may be useful for next summer, if I'm back on the bike by then due to my broken hip!:sad:

Cyclesurgery have a £5 section with lots of items reduced, schwalbe ultremo zx tyres are in there as well as specialized sonoma shoes size 48 for £5.

Thanks @gareth01244 My order arrived today. 2 messenger bags, 2 pairs of leather hub shiners (I've always wanted some of these!) and 5 pairs of socks. I'm awaiting 2 x 11 speed links, which cost 99p with the £10 discount voucher, so a grand total of £17.99 spent for stuff with a total RRP of £175.86:okay:
