Any bargains on Winter MTB boots ? Looking at getting some Shimano MW7's as I know their shoe sizing and have had to go for 44's in Shimano and Lake (Spesh 43) Prices are around £130.

Have a look on fleabay for them. I picked up a pair of new northwave Celsius for my daughters mum around £90 new. This was a couple of years ago but the selling style suggested there's often new cheap boots on there.

For disappointed snood seekers above:

Will check out and do a furtive flounce, wearing my Aldi dark glasses.

I rate Aldi merino - have several of their merino base layers - short and long sleeved.

It says hand wash only but I can't see an appropriate machine wash being a great problem.

Note - also says it can be worn as a mask

Just thought id mention this...

I ordered a messenger bag for £5 from cycleSurgery during their lightning sale and sadly by the time they got around to packing my order, they had no more in stock so gave me a £10 voucher code lol. Im not even mad that i didnt get the messenger bag as it looked cheaply made anyway but now i can get £10 off on other stuff but theres not a lot of stuff on their website that i actually want.

They dont tend to have clothing in the sizes that I want and their select of lights which I am semi-interested in is nowhere near as big as the selection that other online retailers have.

I honestly dont know what to spend the £10 voucher on.

I see you are in london m r/s cube. Surely you can pop into one of their shops? As above, i intend to get an 8 speed chain, effectively for £2. I didn't see any minimum spend condition. Other consumable items available of course.

As others say, just get consumables - tubes, oil, inner cables, bar tape....

Yup. Ended up just going for some mucc off Ceramic lube. Their selection is rather basic to say the least. though I cant argue with 120ml for £5 (after using the voucher code) I was googling around and comparing prices and cyclesurgery dont seem to be the cheapest out of all the main cycle retailers either. Prices are quite often £2-3 more expensive and not to mention Halfords who not only will accept price matches but also 10% BC discount ontop so more often then not it works out better value overall.

Yes, cycle surgery aren't cheap - I think they tend to aim themselves a bit at the mamil bunch. Their Covent Garden store in particular. Not a shop I really go in much anymore - certainly not normally to buy an 8 speed chain.
