2 x Chinese 2xU2 super bright lights £40 ish
3 x Bottles of Finish line Lube £2.97

Ha ha! I was the same when I was off sick, I accumulated an impressive array of cycling accessories, which considering I couldn't ride for a while was like torture!

Lots of goodies in Aldi's running event that starts today. I picked up a compression base layer set for £9.99 (t-shirt and shorts, really nice quality & fit) and some running gloves for £2.99 that may double up as liner gloves when cycling in the middle of winter. They also had buffs, hats, hi-viz tops, etc. Well worth a look.

Also, my local Aldi (Smithdown Rd, Liverpool) still had loads of cycling gear left over: jackets, jerseys, shoes, overshoes, lights, spoke reflectors...
Thanks for that, I hadn't gone to Aldi as I came off my bike and rearranged my face the Thursday night of the "event", then we went on hols the next day for a week and I just thought today there was no point in going. After seeing your post I nipped up tonight (Bristol Bedminster) and they had 6 items of clothing left, all but one were ladies and 1 pair trousers and 1 windproof jersey are now mine for £30 for both rather than £50+ each in gear shops. A couple of ladies medium jerseys and a waterproof left, some bike stands and lights.

Been in the store today and they were £19.99. Real bargain!
....and I'd just received mine from Tredz at £23.99. Arwell you win some, you lose some.
Great lights, both front and back, highly recommended

they are my first set of lights ever on a road bike, hoping they will suffice for my commute rides,

if not then il use this a backup to a ebay Cree jobby

I only need the Smart Lunar 35 on the front, its a very dark road on they way home at 23:15. I do have a backup Phaart Dark Star but don't switch it on because it has no impact over the Smart.
On the rear you'll be amazed with the Smart you're getting, its super bright. I do have a Smart Lunar R2 on aswell but only because I bought it a while ago. It's true you can see these lights from a great distance. I feel safer on my commute home with these lights on than than during daylight on my way to work.
Let us know what you think, I'm sure you'll not be disappointed
