The two pump and lpg station at North Ballachulish has fuel, 143p/l for diesel.

Fort William's Esso station has all 4 pumps active, no queuing, diesel at 143p/l again. That's about 9p dearer than Glasgow when the difference is usually about 4p.

The shipping container issue is that they are largely in the wrong place not helped by a huge shipload getting stuck earlier in the year. Container ships operate complex routes like UK-opp side N Sea/Channel-Ports to China- West coast USA and back so if containers are not ready for loading they get left behind or if there is an insufficient load the whole sailing could be cancelled with even wider implications.

The petrol station at Tesco Ely was totally closed yesterday, although there was a very rare Greater Spotted Fuel Tanker parked up on the forecourt.

I still have 1/3 of a tank, plus a 5 litre container in the garage that I keep for the chainsaw. Haven't added the 2-stroke oil to it yet, so I can chuck it in the car if need be.

More importantly, Tesco was totally out of carrots and cornflour.

Had to go to Tesco and the petrol station had 3 cars at the pumps and no queues.

Had a wander around and some shelves were a bit bare but the bottled water shelves was like a desert. Not sure why there should be a lack of water in plastic bottles?

Saving space on the lorry for more important products?

Carrots in cornflour is my favourite.

Tempura carrot strips, now there's a thought... Maybe with some garam masala in the batter... :hungry:

Hmm... My last encounter with "vegetable chips" did not go well...

If only I had the carrots though. I did manage to grab the very last bag of spinach in the shop. Even better, it was on sticker, so happy meeeeee! Eggs Florentine, here I come!!! :hungry:
You have three French hens!!

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
The BP at Chester, near the start of the M56 (the one where it's difficult to get to/away from if you're heading east) had petrol & diesel.

Hopefully the daftness has died down whilst I was away in Ireland over the past few days.

Even if you had put oil in the two stroke fuel, you could probably still lob it in a car tank if there are a few gallons of petrol already in there. A 50:1 chainsaw mix will end up being heavily diluted. Outboard motor owners do it all the time.
