The government are talking b******s!
Or local Sainsbury's has run out again so that will more than likely mean that Morrison's will be empty and so will the other filling stations .

I wish those Insulate Britain peeps would come and sit on the roundabout on the M4 .
The government always talks bo**cks, nothing new there.

The problem is clearly that you car is about to break down
you are supposed to put petrol/diesel in the tank - NOT jam doughnuts!!!

QUick survey coming back from the market just now
Morrisons - no queue - pumps open and several empty
Tesco - seemed quite busy but working
Esso - no queue - most pumps empty and open

Look to me as if the governments action in recruiting military driver has sorted it all out:laugh:

The AA did some maths a while back, and for them the results seemed plausible for a change. They calculated that rises in fuel duty had gone past the break-even point, and any further rises would actually bring in less revenue, not more, as people tried to avoid it with ever more economical cars and simply driving less.
Brilliant! Wasn't that a major (excuse the pun) point of the fuel duty escalator, to encourage faster modal and technological change to smaller vehicles like e-bikes and cleaner ones like EVs, so the UK would be world leaders instead of laggards? But Gordon Brown chickened out and froze it, then George Osborne completely undermined it and scrapped it, two in a series of seriously planet-harming finance ministers. (not party political because they have all done it so far)

I have a longish drive at the weekend so needed to fill up, I have been putting it off for obvious reasons, I use the local Morrisons for petrol it is the worst set out you can imagine, queue's at the best of times causing chaos with traffic, so I was pleasantly surprised, only two of us there, the least busy fillup ever.
