Really don't see that 150 army drivers will make much of a difference.
More the case that the Muppets have brimmed their cars and won't be needing any petrol for weeks.
Me neither, the one thing that no has considered is that the fuel delivery companies will bid for a contract to deliver petrol and diesel for a brand of petrol station, this will probably be for five years, then it goes out to tender again, when they win the contract they will lease what they consider enough trucks and trailers to service those outlets, those vehicles will run on a 3 shift system, and only get parked up for a service/mot, running 24/7 , so if the trucks are constantly in use, what are these newly trained Army drivers going to drive? do they have their own fuel tankers, do they think they can hire such specialist kit at short notice? I honestly believe no soldiers are delivering fuel any time soon, it’s just more Boris rubbish, that comes out every time he talks.
All the large haulage/distribution companies work on the same model, that’s why the trucks will have done several hundred thousand KM’s by the time they’re sold on
