On the subject of Kookaburra ball, not surprising that the ECB Men’s team director Rob Key is delighted with the experiment.
He thinks it's given us what 4 day matchers are meant to be and wants Kookaburra to be standard.
They really don't have a clue it's no wonder the game is in a mess.

I started the Worcs Durham match in the first over then turned the TV off so I could more easily watch it 'as live' when I got back in last night.
It is well poised and watching Potts 4th ball in the final over at 1/4 speed it should have been 5 down for Worcs.
The umpire had 2 choices, lbw or caught so, it seemed, chose neither.

Youtube is extremely useful for cricket, myself settling on 1.25 x speed for catchup viewing.

Jimmy will retire at the first test this summer. Probably the correct decision.
I don’t think he will beat Warne’s wicket record. He needs 9 wickets

Hopefully we can knock them over with the score needed we've the freedom to mix it up about and go all out attack. Though we've seen in past we can't finish off sides when it matters. If we can't knock over a side like Gloucestershire then it's time to go home.
The only thing we can't control is the weather only time will tell on that one.

We seem to be improving, won at Northants for our first county championship win for ages recently and put up 706 for 6 dec. at Leicestershire today and have them at 133 for 5 in reply.

It’s getting silly now.
I’ve not seen anything yet but no doubt Gibson will come out with yet more rubbish. About what happen and how good the team is going into games.

Got close again but couldn't get it over the line. The only consolation is that wins are hard to come by in Div 2 so far (only 25% of games have had a positive result vs 49% in Div 1) so a better 2nd half may see us haul our way up the table.

A months break for first session of T20Blast now.

We simply can’t bowl out sides and don’t have enough runs to play with. The captaincy in the last 20 overs was totally lacking. Gibson is totally clueless he’s just not up to the job. He’s got to go the quicker the better.

Eh? We had enough runs and nearly bowled them out, arguably ran out of time due to the time lost to rain. as it has been with most of our games this season so far. In the last those 20 odd overs we took 5 or 6 wickets. I was listening to commentary on and off, I think Shan was off the field wasn't he, with Adam taking over as senior pro? the only odd thing I thought was he was taking wickets and then at the death took himself off for Leech.

What is your gripe with Gibson?
At the end of the day the players have to go out and perform or the weather has to stay dry. We were unlucky not to win at Sussex - had Lyth stayed in we were odds on to get over the line.
