ECB should hold their heads in shame over the introduction of the 100 competition. Sky & BBC go gaga over the hundred, the T20 Blast barely gets a mention or report (where the money should have been invested & all counties included).

The ECB look like hoping a more international popular format together with popular banding. Will mean the big money comes running , the penny has dropped that the 100 is an a bit of a dead duck to the big boys. Best thing now is spin the whole lot off and let it run in tandem not as part of the season. If it work's it work's if not then it will fizzle out one way or the other. It's time for ECB to let its card on the table. What it really want's, a strong county game and in turn a strong England. Or a quick buck mix of baseball meets cricket in Pyjamas.

Shame the Windies fell apart so dramatically, but as the commentary team said you only have to bowl them out for a low score once. Great test overall.

It was a bit of a capitulation, but Bashir bowled well and the wicket was notably harder to bat on, quite a few coming through with low bounce from the seamers. Also showed the value of Root & Brook's stand the previous day, we only scored just under 100 after Brook went and Root got about half of those.
a really good test though.

Amazing stat (when you fisrt hear it ...)!!!! In that test ENG only batted once, declaring on 600-something https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_cricket_team_in_England_in_1938#First_Test
So this is their first time scoring 400 in both inningses!
