Incidentally, everyone I quiz looks at me blankly. Did I hear England batsmen throughout the innings urging each other on with cries of "Lovely Boy", a la Wndsor Davis? Or is it just me?

I thought I heard Lovely Boy at one point but thought I was hearing things.

Talk is Fisher may not be fit to ball, we should be ok without him though never can tell with this lot.
We got the runs to to allow for some leg room if things turn Masood is not exactly a dynamic captain. If he the best Pakistan have got they really have problems.

Ah, yes a blow, but we do have 4 other seamers, although he is the quick one. Hopefully it turns like a top for Bess (and a bit of Lyth possibly)

Slightly disappointing performance in the last game. 175 was never enough and despite bowling well we didn't get the wickets required to put any pressure on. Drawing the series is probably about fair on balance.
