I hope the moisture and cloud around livens up the pitch / ball swing, get it hooping around. When the sun is out it's a very benign pitch.

Rain will not curtail play sufficiently, there will be a result.
I make England fairly strong favourites. It'll take something very special from Khawaja and probably Head to pull this around

It's absolutely chucking it down in Brum this morning. Doubt we will have any play before lunch. Though 50-60 overs should be enough for a result either way, as you say.

is it time to panic ?- this stand is approaching 40 runs and looking pretty useful, highest stand since the opening stand

How many more overs can Aus face?
I like this Cummins system, stop the stupid sledging and play some grown up cricket without the gung-ho ... may work out well for them?
Day 5 the ball should be doing more than it is for sure

I think there is a potential 37 overs to play!
And no deadline. Just whether the light will last.

According to Cricinfo 96 off min overs remaining 37 which is a rate of about 2.6 And then we might get into discussions about the extra hour, or the light or stuff like that.

old cliche, wickets fall in clusters, Geoffrey says add two wickets to the score and see what you think...
we need break through sharpish
