Also got a few numbers from Gumtree to phone tomorrow.

Caveat emptor: Recently, while looking at buying a dog, @Gee_Dee and I encountered a seller on Gumtree who subsequently turned out to have all the traits of a puppy farmer and/or con-man. We bailed but I don't think I'd trust my steed to Joe H. Random.

Gonna phone 3 or 4, some of us will ride with the bikes. Contacted a few minibus companies, no answer yet. Train ticket man was adamant: only 2 bikes per train.
PS: adopt a dog from the animal shelters?

Fair enough. And yeah, Scotrail is jobsworth central - as Rasmus, Mr. Messy and I found out when trying to get back after the Dunfermline ride.

@Pat "5mph" I've put an appeal out on FB to see if anyone has a trailer they would be willing to lend me for the day - I have a towbar on my car so if we could get hold of a trailer we fit as many bikes as we can in then I meet you at the start? Dependant on getting a trailer of course! Unless anyone on here has one lurking at the back of their garage....
