I'm not 100% sure how my wrist is going to stand up to a 'long' ride at the moment, so I'm still more of a maybe... I should at least have my new bike by then (tonight hopefully!) so if there's still a space in the van for my bike closer to the day that would be great, but I wouldn't want to ask for a space if someone else can use it and is a 'definite' to go.

I doubt @Louch will accept dodgy wrists as any kind of excuse from you my lad.

I think I'd be more general Ross and just say 'arm'. A limp arm is one thing......

I can't decide if i would make it or not :shy::bravo:

IF you went easy at the start and IF you didn't try to keep up with Rasmus et al I think you would be fine - I want to see what the weather predictions are for next Saturday before committing. I had also thought (before the whole trailer thing kicked off!) of a leisurely ride up to Perth, breakfast, CC Ride (which should be fairly leisurely anyway) with CAKE, then a leisurely ride back - i.e. a Tour, rather than a ball-busting, Strava segment kicking, meltdown type of a ride.

That was kinda my thoughts also Mark, nice 2-3hr cycle to perth, some food, meet the rest, cycle the route, have cake then a nice relaxed cycle home, i think pacing myself both there, during and on the way back is the only way i would make it, having that week break hasnt helped my preparations for the ride tbh :heat:

Pace your self there, do the ride as normal and burn of your excess energy on the way home (its all down hill, in global terms ;))
I think IIRC I went up to the first ride via Crossgates, Kinross, Glenfarg which is relatively flat and came back with @Seamab by Tulloch Road (Path of Condie).

I'd maybe join this Dunfermline plan. Problem is I am bringing a mate who hasn't done any distances yet. Tho his first ride ,he beat everyone I follow on strava to go up the kirk Wynd in Clackmannan, so think he would manage it easier than I would!

Sounds like he needs to be left at home ... ;)

The lumpyness is what makes it interesting...

I have this route planned.

From memory the only lumpy bit on the route I took is a nice wee climb at Dupplin Castle. Doesn't last long though. Haven't ridden Dunning from the easy side (don't see the point ;) ) so I can't comment on how lumpy that would be...

There will be a space for you, I'll make sure
