Very true. I'e lived in my house for 30 years..ish. the stopcock is in the downstairs loo and after I'd lived there maybe 10 years I needed to turn it off....i thought I was going to snap the handle off.
A good spray of WD and slightly loosening the gland nut and regular but gentle manipulation sorted it in the end. I close / open mine every now and then, just to keep it free.

I've never met one that didn't let a tiny trickle of water by. BTW, have you come across screwdriver slot isolation valves............where the screwdriver slot faces the wall......

T shirt weather here in Addis Ababa and it's a public holiday. Best drink some coffee and stroll around a bit in the warm sun.

But I'll be arriving back at Manchester airport Saturday morning and have realised I've nothing to wear but, er, a T shirt, a Polo shirt and a sweater.

Supposedly light snow all day in Ashford. One thing I don't get it.....is that it is actually getting warmer as the day goes on? I thought it was suppose to be the other way around? It says between -2 and 0 between now and 10pm then it will be around 1 degree.

Another thing...is it's suppose to be jumping up to around 4 degrees tomorrow at 3pm. Every website is showing different forecasts. IT'S DRIVING ME MAD!
