just looks the same round here - I'm starting to get cabin fever
It's odd - I'm normally perfectly happy to spend days on end at home doing stuff - but I've discovered I don't like feeling trapped

Must be bad if Mr Hop is defeated!
The route to the pub where the bends in the road drop and cut through just a few metres down the road is rather deep

Can you make it to the pub though?
Nope

No problems getting into work for me. All the roads on the commute are gritted & they were quiet. I allowed half an hour extra to get in & made it in pretty much the usual time. The snow is settling here though, so return leg might be worse. I remembered the advice I read on riding in snow: Brake. Steer. Throttle. Pick one.
Famous last words. We got the call to go home at 8.45. Left the car park at 9.00, on foot. Attempts to ride were very slow and incredibly terrifying. Took half an hour to get the less than a mile down to the A27, including dropping the bike (minor scrapes and a dinged panel, no damage to me). It wasn't going to get any easier, and I couldn't push it home. Recovery was my only option. Phoned a local firm, who had a guy in the area and made it to me at 11 or so (warmth was not a problem with all the layers). Home at 12.30. I'm not risking it today....the main roads this end are clear, but they were last night....and some of my train options for getting home are already cancelled! I have been round to the local delivery office this morning, nothing doing.
