Nope wasn’t aware why would I ? However the story is run on several websites as I’ve just checked ? Don’t think they are all run by Daily Mail ?
They are all running a story based on a single source which was taken out of context .

The Daily Mail story is based on a statement by Chris Whapples, a structural engineer who is a member of the British Parking Association, which represents parking garage owners. He said, “If a vehicle is heavier than the car park was originally designed for, the effects could be catastrophic. We’ve not had an incident yet, but I suspect it is only a matter of time. We have recommended that a loading check is performed on all older car parks and the industry is responding.”

Here's the full skinny on the "story":-

Possibly not, though you might be surprised.

The original story was from the Daily Mail in December, and has just been copied by any sites not part of that group.

What's the view on the Sony Honda Mobility brand Afeela?

Could be a major rival to Tesla in the next couple of years with the fusion of two major high-tech partners.

It could be, but it is definitely at least 12 years behind in development terms. It needs to deliver on the tech side. I like my ID4 but the tech is awful. Slow and pretty useless UI, poorly designed. Tesla have the drive, the range and the software. That's what makes them a winning package.

That said, I'm excited to see what it looks like when it comes out...

I saw a ID buzz for the first time today.

Ive seen one too, quite a good looking van. Lacks range for the original model. They've just announced a longer wheelbase version and again specc'd it with a too small a battery. It needs 300 miles for a camper and 251kW charging capability. If VW UI isnt improved then it will be a tiny seller.
