Nope. Doesn't have a massive engine or big pointy front end making vroom vroom noises....
Tesla designs to be functional not flashy.

4 second 0-60, big screen, inside come on!!

Rubbish, they’re still a status car
Of course. But not willy waving ones. The intention was to make the best electric car possible. Not the best looking. The fast bit is almost incidental to the electric motors.

You can't put oversized exhausts and a spoiler on a Tesla, and you don't need to :-)

No I don't think so, I think the price drop is to try to hold back the Chinese manufacturers who make way more electric cars and much cheaper. make

That may also be true, but having a decent profit margin per car.

This will certainly place alot of other manufacturers in severe financial difficulty.

Tesla are still very strong in China, but do have some competition from BYD

Well given that he's driving a penis extension, maybe we can extrapolate?

Haha this is funny considering some of the chat on here about the 0-60 of a certain EV ! Nah the chap is an out and out petrol head , has a couple of SUVs and some very nice motorbikes . Just loves anything engine powered . All his cars/bikes are loved and cherished . Mustang was a big birthday buy, can’t take your money with you !

But why has he put an EV plate on it ??

I've never had any idea of the 0-60 time of any of my cars. Why would I need that ?

I know. It's almost as if Tesla owners have a passion for their Teslas (Teslae?) and just really think they are good.

One of the dichotomies that many cannot get their head around is that Tesla tends to do badly on reliability charts but brilliantly on customer satisfaction charts.

I would like to buy a Tesla but SO prefers German stuff. I keep trying her that Tesla is not just about the car but the whole infrastructure and supercharger network. Those things are always available and always working.

If you have another brand of BEV, prepare to queue or go at odd hours of the night to get it charged (our home charger has stopped working so that's how I know).

I find electric cars quite boring to drive, there's no engine sound! They're excellent for normal A-to-B stuff, just getting things done, b hauling family and stuff around, so quiet, but fun? Nah.

The fun I get from BEV is seeing how much range I can get out of them. They are far better than normal (non sports) petrol cars.

“Interest in new electric vehicles may be declining, data from the UK's largest car sales website suggests as Tesla boss Elon Musk signals more discounts ahead to boost demand.

The volume of new electric car searches, ad views and messages to retailers on the Auto Trader platform was down nearly two thirds (65%) from the beginning of last year to March this year, it reported.

Auto Trader has attributed this to the high cost of electric cars, higher borrowing rates and more expensive electricity, all amid a cost of living crisis.”

Cost of living biting , high energy costs, very expensive EVs ? Tesla cutting prices and will continue according to the news report on the radio ? Can see why people are maybe being turned away from EV ownership , unless a company car of course !

I thought we can say that about all vehicles, not just electric vehicles?

Yet Tesla continue to have results like this

The Tesla Model Y is officially the best-selling car in Europe for the first quarter of 2023, showing an impressive 179% increase in sales compared to the same period last year. The electric SUV outsold both the Dacia Sandero and the Peugeot 208 superminis.

Teslas price reduction is to press home their advantage of popularity at the expense of other car brands. Adding extra production shifts in Germany backs up the posted sales and increased demand. This is for a £40-60k car.

Just wait when they release the model 2. They are expecting to sell 2 million per year.
