Are we being forced to go electric?

I hate change, but I do realise that it is one of life’s inevitabilities. I really don’t want to give up my ICE cars but sadly I’ll have no choice, but as a life long car and bike fanatic it isn’t a direction I really want to go in.

If you haven't driven one, I suggest organising a test drive. I used to like powerful V8 turbo cars, but would not go back to ICE.

If you have the readies why not ? I’d love an RS4 Avant . Totally inappropriate and financial ruin lol . YOLO :-D

I was talking about the EV. It's just a crap car.

That'd be like buying a a BSO from a supermarket and declaring all bikes are rubbish.

No they’re not, met up with my BIL today and he’s had three years with an Audi E-tron, he’s changing it for an RS4 avant, he just doesn’t feel that the infrastructure works for him.

That's because he's bought a relatively short range with limited infrastructure. If he wants range and high spec then Tesla model S or X performance or now the Plaid.

leg power (no e in the leg power).

Joking there's actually 2e's in leg power

But I knew what you meant and I agree with you

Baffles me why people will pay so much for any vehicle like a car thingy..

Its likely that those who can afford a premium vehicle, whether its a ICE or EV, have the disposable income and view the expense similar to those with lesser wealth of buying a £2k used car.

Western capitalism

There's a big assumption in what you say; that people don't buy more expensive cars because they can't afford them. What about the people who just don't see them as that important?

True. But it's still like being able to afford an iPhone14 but buying a diamond encrusted Nokia 3210 and complaining that it isn't very good.
As an actual phone, the Nokia 3210 is better than the iPhone 14. The latter just comes with more "attached" to take your mind of that fact.
