If they live in the moors area, easily run an extension down to their car parked on the road side

They live by a narrow road so parking is very limited time wise .

I hate change, but I do realise that it is one of life’s inevitabilities. I really don’t want to give up my ICE cars but sadly I’ll have no choice, but as a life long car and bike fanatic it isn’t a direction I really want to go in.

Yep. I can understand that. Just one day up a tree using a electric chainsaw without breathing fumes constantly has changed my line of thought.

i am getting the feeling that some time people don't like change.

Road vehicles should still look like this.

None of this new-fangled petrol engines. Coal is available everywhere from good Welsh mines, but petrol has to be imported.

Probably said by my grandfather.

It’s the early adopters continually eulogising about them that instantly puts me off

That's a fair point, but all we are doing is answering questions about them and debunking the myths that get put around.
If it weren't people who don't like change posting nonsense we wouldn't need to keep on posting.

At the end of the day, the easiest way to decide if you are ready for the change is to go for a test drive or hire one for a couple of days.

Yes I can understand that. I’m an advocate but at the moment the proposition is not quite strong enough for the next wave of adopters. It will happen, it’s just how quickly.

Sweet baby cheeses.

Three times the cost of mine (and more!) and half the efficiency.

Your BIL does not choose wisely with cars.
