Training starts today for Manchester, easy 5k, that said, I may have had one or 2 🍻 last night so it was a tad difficult getting out the door!
Lots of protein in beer!

Daughter and her chap are coming down in July to take part in the " Cider Frolic" organised by the local " White Star " running. It's on a Cider farm and consists of laps around a wooded trail. One of the aid stations is the " Love Station " which you pass on each lap and dispenses encouragement, hugs and free booze . Daughters chap has put in for the 24hr which starts at 6pm on Friday, daughter has put in for the 12 Hour which starts at 8am Saturday morning. It's a " go as you please " type of event, run as few or as many laps as you want. Mrs Tkk and myself are going to sign up for the 12 hour, after all, what could possibly go wrong 🤔😁
Yes, Mrs Tkk and I are considering the 12 hour. Not with any great expectations of running far, but to be there as backup for daughters chap and to do as many or as few laps as we feel capable of. Having said that I will be 75 in May and wondered, just wondered mind you, if I could get 75k under my belt🤔My sister has done this and really enjoyed it.
Might give it a try as it's near my folks!
Christmas Day parkrun completed. 3rd in age category.
Gave our local one a miss as I knew it would get busy. A good call as there were more than 1,300 finishers. Friend said he had a 20 minute wait to get scanned 😮 ( I did say he could have avoided that by running faster)
Pomphrey Hill Parkrun this morning but unfortunately the event was cancelled as a runner had collapsed and needed treatment where he fell, lots of ambulances in attendance. My thoughts are with him... 🙏
