Spent a week in Wales, the Gower and did a few runs, which were great. Some observations:
  1. Running on the beach is great, unless it's windy (it was windy)
  2. Running over the downs was fantastic, with great views (they were hilly!)
  3. I'm unfit!
  4. That is all

A few shots of a run or two:

Mrs Legs suggested this morning that (to help her get into shape), we get a treadmill. The obvious place for one would be in the Zwifting Suite, alongside my Tacx Neo and facing the Big Telly. The drawback is that the roof has timber rafter ties only 6'10” above floor level. I don't think it'd be a problem for Mrs Legs, who's 5'3", but I'm 6'3" and I don't want to take my head off if I run in there. Obviously, the ties are the low points and there's 2'8” gaps between each tie - how much back/forth space do you need, and would it be safe to work on the basis of my head bobbing about in this space? Minimum deck height appears to be around 7" but does the panel know of any good treadmills with lower decks? I think I'd want a top motor speed of at least 10mph (6 min/mile).

(BTW, I've considered turning things around so that the treadmill is parallel to the trusses, but I don't think there'd be space.)

I did a track session tonight the worst I can remember!

Probably due to not running over the weekend and having a truckers diet and exercise!!

Men's shed open day Saturday and then moving a client to Swansea (we nipped into the Gower for tea!)on Sunday meant running has been a lower priority!

5 x 800m last one was barely maintaining form!😥

I've not run sine 9th Sept.

I got the all clear from covid at the end of August and went back to work but after a week I was completely knackered and had to go on the sick for a week, which ended up being a month, and I missed the Knutsford 10k on October 1st, an absolutely pan flat pb course.

And now I've got my favourite race of the year taunting me with the, 'it's only a month until the Wesham 10k,' email, another pb potential course.

Never mind, there's always next year. 😊

Running club had a parkrun takeover yesterday. I ran as the 24 minute pacer, first time pacing! but was pleased to finish within 2 seconds of schedule.
