Is Teams the pits?
Have a client that uses it - always someone has problems. Bad sound, no video, jumpy screens. People drop in and out.
Or is this the new way to work and I'm missing the point?
I remember when a telex was the d.b. Then later you struggled to find someone else with a fax machine.
Whilst I'm not a massive fan of Teams it's a good time saving tool if you work in an industry like construction as I do, instead of meetings on site or in far flung contractors offices you can stay at work.
I've spent my working life based in the north east but have ended up having meetings in places like Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London, even Dartford in Kent once, which was an epic day out for a bloody half hour meeting! The busier the roads get and the older and less ar##ed I can be with roaming the country I'll stick to Teams if possible. A recent trek down south netted an order for us, but it was a day that involved nine hours of travelling which I could have done without.
Besides, you get to see what people who work from homes' offices are like. Architects are always good for a chuckle. I recall a meeting with one years ago and he was working at his kitchen table, with what appeared to be a cat asleep in the sink behind.
