I leave a bottle of Fairy liquid on the front seat of my motor.

It doesn't stop car thieves, its just a detergent.

When I was little potatoes were often referred to as Tatties (yes - that is a letter a!!!!)
Quite common - not sure if it is a Liverpool thing or just Wirral/Birkenhead or just because I have Welsh ancestors - amongst others!

Anyone else refer to potatoes as anything like that????

Still do refer to them as tatties.

Yes, in the West Midlands, 1960's and 70's, still do, to be fair. I think my West Country Wurzel friends understand me.
