That does remind me of the old man at Grasspoint on Mull who found a bale of vegetable material washed up on the shore.
He had no idea what it was but it looked suitable as compost for his garden.
That summer had had a bumper crop of something he did not recognise but somebody else did and reported him to the authorities.
Full scale raid by the drug squad at the reported cannabis farm.
It was recognised that he genuinely had no idea and no action was taken against him.

I've just been watching a coughing competition between contestants from Whitley, Morecambe and Cardigan.

It was the Great British bay cough.
