This actually happened to me
I woke up from an op, with a priest stood by my bed, holding a bible.
It turned out to be an old school mate of mine, that came to visit someone else and thought he'd drop by to "surprise" me.

When I woke up from my ankle operation, there happened to be a very busty nurse bent over me checking something. I thought I'd gone to heaven.
I was deliberately woken up part way through my 7 hour** operation to ask me to sign for a blood transfusion......that was very strange.
**it was supposed to be 1 hour but went badly wrong.
